History
The Houston Public Library in Texas has had ghostly music playing throughout the building at night. The source of the haunting is believed to be the ghost of a former janitor who loved playing his violin whenever he was at the library alone at night.

Again, a useful ghost. How sweet of a guy to play some music while you’re sitting there all by yourself! 😀
Thankfully, it isn’t an annoying instrument.

But a violin does seem creepy, especially when it is in a ghostly melody. 😛
Violins are among the creepy instruments – chimes, organs, and music boxes. Speaking of creepy ghosts, there is a great PC game called Ravenhearst (with two sequels, Return to Ravenhearst and Escape from Ravenhearst) that I think you’d like.

What is it about? 😮
It is a hidden object game. You play as a detective trying to solve the case of Ravenhearst Manor. A young woman from Iowa goes over to Blackpool, England, and mysteriously disappears during the 1890s. In the second game, she appears as a ghost to help you solve futher mysteries. The third game…is just creepy.
