History
The Howard House belonged to General Oliver Otis Howard “Old Howard”, a tough old Marine who passed away in 1871. He haunted his wife and single child for two months, forcing them to move out. Later buyers of the home were attacked by his spirit, and they were often dragged off the bed, thrown to the ground, and witness to eerie groaning.
Police have investigated the happenings, only to find no explanation for the phenomena. In the early 1900s, a little girl had the blankets ripped up and off of her. She heard panting next to her, but when she turned on her gas lamp, she found nothing. She and her family moved out the very next day. These days, Howard does not torment anyone.
