Timeline

Ghostly World launched on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 as a site dedicated to haunted places. It primarily focused on locations across the United States of America.

In 2013, Ghostly World was cited as a source for Haunted Big Bend Florida for the section about the Bayou La Batre Jail.

In 2015, we started publishing our own eBooks for Amazon Kindle.

We opened up our official Ghostly World merch shop on Redbubble in late 2018.

Ghostly World underwent an extensive rebranding! We've made it our goal to make stories of the paranormal and hauntings less sensationalized to honor the dead and respect victims of tragedy. We're also working to destigmatize the treatment of mental health and psychiatric patients, as these facilities often feature the most sensationalized stories condemning mental illness. We hope this will have a part in the way paranormal stories are presented.
